The game is played the same as stihgrat rail, but a player can only score a specific number of points in each frustrate space before the balls must be hit hard enough to knock them into another area. The 1st number pertains to how many inches away from the rail the balklines are drawn and the second number indicates how many points are permitted in each space before one ball must leave the area. As an example, in 18.2 balkline, the lines are drawn eighteen inches parallel to each rail ( 4 lines total ) and that only two counts are permitted in each balkspace.
